TESSAROL ACRYLIC PRIMER FOR WOOD

TESSAROL acrylic wood primer is a primer intended for the protection of wooden surfaces such as doors, windows, fences, wooden structures, and various types of paneling in indoor and outdoor spaces. It is particularly useful when working with wood that can release water-soluble substances, as it contains an additive that prevents yellow stains when coating oak, chestnut, and knots in coniferous wood. The coating is environmentally friendly, odorless, and fast-drying.

The surface must be dry, sanded, and clean. Moisture in conifers must not exceed 15%, and 12% in deciduous wood. Residues of wax, resin, and grease should be removed with TESSAROL Nitro thinner. It is applied by brush (synthetic fibers) or roller (microfiber or felt), and thinned with water if necessary. It can also be applied by air spraying with 5 to 10% thinning. Work at a minimum of +8°C, with relative humidity below 80%.

The coating is based on an acrylic dispersion, matte finish, in a white shade. It covers 8 to 10 m2 per liter in a single layer, depending on the surface finish, type of wood, and application method. Dust dry in about 1 hour, dry to touch in 2 hours, with an intercoat interval of 4 to 6 hours. It is not tintable.

A 0.75 L pack covers approximately 6 - 7.5 m2 of surface per single layer, depending on the structure and absorbency of the substrate. It is intended for the protection of wooden surfaces such as doors, windows, fences, wooden structures, and paneling in indoor and outdoor spaces.

For exterior wooden surfaces, BORI Impregnation W is used before application, while TESSAROL acrylic enamel is used as the topcoat, according to the system in the technical data sheet.
