TESSAROL ACRYLIC UNIVERSAL PRIMER UNI

TESSAROL acrylic UNI primer is a universal primer for the protection of iron and steel surfaces, galvanized steel sheet, copper, aluminum, and hard PVC surfaces in indoor and outdoor areas. It adheres well to various substrates and protects metal from rust using anti-corrosive pigments. Being water-based, it is odorless and practical for work.

It is applied to a previously prepared and cleaned surface. Rust must be mechanically removed, and grease and impurities cleaned with TESSAROL Nitro thinner. Galvanized sheet and hard PVC are washed with a mixture of water, ammonia, and detergent, then sanded with a synthetic fiber abrasive cloth and thoroughly rinsed with water. For hot-dip galvanized surfaces, light sandblasting is mandatory. It is applied by brush (synthetic fibers), roller (microfiber or felt), or air spraying with 5 to 10% thinning. Work at a minimum of +8°C, with humidity below 80%.

The coating is based on an acrylic dispersion, matte finish, in a white shade. It covers 8 to 10 m2 per liter in a single layer, depending on the application method. Dust dry in about 1 hour, dry to touch in approximately 2 to 6 hours, and the next layer can be applied after 6 to 8 hours. It is not tintable.

A 0.65 L pack covers approximately 5.2 - 6.5 m2 of surface per single layer, depending on the structure and absorbency of the substrate. It is intended for universal protection of metal and PVC surfaces in indoor and outdoor areas.

TESSAROL acrylic enamel (satin or gloss) or TESSAROL acrylic radiator enamel are used as topcoats, according to the system in the technical data sheet.
