TESSAROL PRIMER FOR WOOD

TESSAROL wood primer is an opaque primer intended for the protection of various wooden surfaces such as doors, windows, fences, wooden structures, fiberboard, and chipboard paneling, as well as for the restoration of old furniture in indoor and outdoor spaces. As a primer, it allows the wood to breathe, has excellent leveling, and is easy to apply.

It is applied to a dry, sanded, and clean surface. Moisture content in conifers must not exceed 15%, and 12% in deciduous wood. Residues of wax, resin, and grease must be removed with NITRO thinner. It can be applied by brush, roller, or airless spraying. Minimum working temperature is +5°C. Dust dry in approximately 2 hours, dry to touch in 2 to 3 hours, with an intercoat interval of 24 hours.

It is based on an alkyd binder with a matte finish. It covers 10 to 12 m2 per liter in a single layer, depending on the surface finish, type of wood, and application method. It is available in a white shade and is ready for use without thinning.

A 0.75 L pack covers approximately 7.5 - 9 m2 of surface per single layer, depending on the structure and absorbency of the substrate. It is intended for doors, windows, fences, and other smaller wooden surfaces.

For exterior wooden surfaces, BORI impregnation with biocide W is used before applying this primer, while TESSAROL enamel, TESSAROL enamel professional, or TESSAROL acrylic enamel are used as topcoats, in accordance with the system recommended in the technical data sheet.
